WORK SUMMARY
Mr. Ray has an outstanding record of achievement in both public and private sectors. He served as Special Assistant to the Secretary of Commerce, and as Assistant Secretary of Veterans Affairs. He is also a recipient of the Medal of Honor and was a past president of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society.
Mr. Ray is President of MedicaSoft LLC, a leading provider of Medical software and IT Services.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Mr. Ray is also an Executive Advisor to Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC). A top ten Software Company, with over 150 offices in 30 countries. He provides advice and assistance in all areas of PTC's business sectors with a primary focus in the federal sector. He is also designated as one of the key Corporate Executives responsible for establishing and maintaining strong partnership relationships with key corporate accounts under PTC's Executive Sponsor Program.
During 1989-1993, Mr. Ray served as Assistant Secretary for Human Resources and Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs. As such he was a key executive in the second largest and one of the most complex federal agencies with a workforce of over 260,000
($33 billion budget, 172 medical centers). His responsibilities included personnel management, labor relations, occupational safety and health, equal employment opportunity, and administrative support services.
Before forming his own company, Mr. Ray served for 20 years in the U.S. Army. He served in various elite military units and assignments, including two combat tours in Vietnam. He also served as U.S. European Command advisor to the armed forces of Norway, Italy and Turkey and was Commander of a Special Forces (Green Beret) Battalion. From 1974 to 1975, Mr. Ray served as a White House Fellow . His decorations include the Medal of Honor, Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
Mr. Ray is a member of the White House Fellows Association, Congressional Medal of Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa, Legion of Valor, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and other veteran's service organizations.
