The Healthcare Information System is a fully-integrated multi-tiered Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system built for healthcare organizations. The system addresses the business and clinical needs of inpatient, outpatient and homecare providers. It has a single interface for healthcare providers to review and update patient electronic health records – the users use the same interface ( Patient Chart ) to place orders, including medications, procedures, laboratory tests, etc, and to do their current activities, e.g. consultations, surgery procedures, nursing procedures, etc.


Features of the System

• Data is available from a central server, depending upon the authorization given to the user, and can be viewed by the person concerned from their own computer. All data is stored centrally and can be viewed simultaneously from multiple terminals, giving the user access to on-line patient information and the ability to update records.

• The system offers immediate access to clinical data, allowing users to review results and comprehensive patient information, including for example: the patient's problem, medications, treatments, and medical documents from previous visits and admissions.

• Data integrity is maintained, and the risk of having duplicate data entry is eliminated;

• A minimal amount of paperwork is required once the system is operational;

• Progressive care documentation: At each visit or contact with the patient the relevant record is updated and this can then provide a consultant with a summary overview of the patient's medical history;

• It allows the instantaneous scanning, storage and retrieval of both electronically generated and handwritten material;

• The system is accessible at numerous locations through internet connection;

• Security - the system enables the tracing of users who have made the last changes / modifications, thus ensuring accountability;

• It allows for long-term retention of data, error-free retrieval of data and the control of access to data;

• The system is configurable and new data and features can be added along the way if needed;

• The duplication of data entry is minimized and details such as the entry of patient identification numbers or general patient information do not have to be repeated.

• There are different levels of access according to each user's roles and responsibilities.
